PUMA REISSUES FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THE 90'S ICONIC CELL ENDURA
In 2018, the trend of dad shoes is undeniable as well as the reissue of retro-looking models directly from the archives of the biggest sportswear brands. Nike, adidas or even Reebok regularly feed the news of the middle of the sneaker. Today, Puma follows suit and interferes with this niche still very promising by bringing up to date a model from the 1990s, the CELL Endura.
The pair unearthed in the running archives of the brand and released for the first time in 1998 was then essentially dedicated to performance. It is back twenty years later in a modernized version while preserving its original DNA. The shape has been slightly revised as the design method is no longer manual but performed by machines. The sneaker is equipped with CELL technology that was developed to improve the cushioning of the shoe. It is directly integrated into the sole by means of air bubbles which evoke necessarily the technology developed by its competitor of Oregon.
This same prominent sole, white in color and made of EVA, echoes the phenomenon of platform shoes currently very popular. We also distinguish eyelets laces imposing reinforcing the impression of having a chunky product. For its launch, Puma chose to present it in a construction combining mesh, leather and suede. A predominantly white and black color scheme adorns this Endura CELL, while many electric green touches are applied to branding on the tongue, laces, side logo, or inside the air bubbles.
The release of the Puma CELL Endura is scheduled for October 4, 2018 on SNKRS.COM online store. Its price is known: the pair will be marketed 139 € the unit.
